Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, known professionally as 21 Savage, is a rapper based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Born in London, he moved to Atlanta with his mother at age seven.
Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, known professionally as 21 Savage, was born on October 22, 1992 in East London. His zodiac sign is Libra, and his ethnicity is Afro-Caribbean. 21 Savage got involved with rap music at a young age. He began freestyle rapping at school and released his first mixtape The Slaughter Tape in 2015. Shortly after its release he signed a deal with Epic Records and subsequently released a collaborative project titled Free Guwop with Sonny Digital in 2016. The following year he released his debut studio album Issa Album which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In 2017 21 Savage released several tracks including "Bank Account", which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA. In 2018 he dropped his second studio album I Am > I Was which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It included hit singles "a lot" featuring J Cole and Post Malone's "Rockstar".
In 2019 21 Savage won Best Rap Song for "a lot" at the 62nd Grammy Awards and also received nominations for Record of the Year and Album of the Year for I Am > I Was. He continues to make music today as part of Slaughter Gang record label as well as releasing solo material through Epic Records/Slaughter Gang, LLC
