Adam West was born William West Anderson on September 19, 1928, in Walla Walla, Washington. He is an American actor best known for his role as Batman in the ABC series of the same name in 1966 and its movie spin-offs. His zodiac sign is Virgo, and his ethnicity is Caucasian. His parents were Otto West Anderson and Audrey V. Speer.

West began acting at a young age when he entered a children's theater company at age eight. He attended Whitman College, where he majored in English Literature and Psychology and minored in Music. After college, he moved to Hawaii and worked as a milkman before getting into radio work under the name 'Paul West'.

West gained fame for his role as Batman in the television series "Batman" which aired from 1966 to 1968. He also appeared in several films such as "The Outlaws Is Coming," "Robinson Crusoe on Mars," "The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker," and "The Happy Hooker Goes To Hollywood." In addition to this work, West has done voice over work for various animated series such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Fairly Oddparents, Johnny Bravo and more. 

He was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012 with 2 stars - one for television and another for motion pictures. In recent years, he has continued to appear in television shows such as Drop Dead Diva and 30 Rock. Adam West passed away at the age of 88 on June 9th 2017 due to leukemia complications.
