Aisha Tyler was born on September 18, 1970 in San Francisco, California. She is the daughter of Robin Gregory and Jim Tyler, a photographer and a lawyer respectively. Her parents divorced when she was 10 years old and she began living with her mother full time. She attended high school at McAteer High School for the Performing Arts, where she studied acting.
She attended Dartmouth College and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 1992. After college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. In 1993, she got her first role as a guest star on an episode of "Friends". She went on to appear in numerous TV shows such as "24", "Ghost Whisperer", and "CSI".
In 2010, Tyler became co-host of the CBS daytime talk show The Talk. Since then, she has become well known for her witty humor and honest views on many topics. She also hosted Whose Line Is It Anyway? from 2013-2015 and has been a voice actress for films such as Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
Tyler has made numerous television appearances including guest spots on shows like Conan, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jeopardy!, Drop the Mic, and Lopez Tonight. She is also a published author having released her first book Self-Inflicted Wounds: Heartwarming Tales Of Epic Humiliation in 2013.
