Aphmau, born Jess, is an American YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and voice actress. She was born on May 16, 1989 in South Carolina and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up she had a passion for video games and found her true love in the world of Minecraft. This is what sparked her YouTube channel creation back in 2012.
Her gaming channels have grown to include popular series such as “Minecraft Diaries” and “MyStreet”. She has also branched out into other types of content with her second channel “Aphmau Plays” where she covers long stories from tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons alongside shorter-form gameplay videos like Among Us. As of 2021, Aphmau's main channel has surpassed 8 million subscribers and she is one of the most recognizable figures in the gaming community.
Outside of her YouTube career, Aphmau has done voice acting work for various animated shows and films including Steven Universe Future (2020), Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (2018) and Voltron: Legendary Defender (2016).
