Byun Baek-hyun, better known mononymously as Baekhyun, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor. Baekhyun began training under SM Entertainment in 2011. A few months later, he made his debut in 2012 as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo, its sub-group Exo-K and later on its sub-unit Exo-CBX.

Baekhyun, born Byun Baek-hyun on May 6, 1992, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the K-pop boy band EXO and its subgroup EXO-K.

Baekhyun began training to become an idol at SM Entertainment's Starlight Academy in 2008. He was cast into SM in 2011, and in 2012 he became a member of EXO. In December 2013, he made his solo debut with the single "Christmas Day". He also has released several albums with EXO over the years, such as XOXO (2013), Sing For You (2015), and Exodus (2015).

In 2017, Baekhyun branched out into acting with his role in the historical television drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. He has since starred in various films and dramas including Do You Like Brahms? (2020) and River Where The Moon Rises (2021). Additionally, Baekhyun has participated in musical theatre productions such as School Oz (2019).

Outside of his singing and acting career, Baekhyun is an active philanthropist. In 2019 he launched a donation campaign to help fund scholarships for children from underprivileged backgrounds in South Korea. He has also donated millions of won to several charities throughout his career.
