Christopher Emmanuel Paul (born May 6, 1985), nicknamed "CP3" and “The Point God”, is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Chris Paul was born on May 6, 1985 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His zodiac sign is Taurus, and his ethnicity is African-American. He is the son of Charles and Robin Paul, and he has two older siblings. Paul attended West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, where he was a standout basketball player and graduated with honors in 2003.
Paul went on to attend Wake Forest University where he played college basketball for the Demon Deacons. In 2005, Paul was named the consensus National Player of the Year and he decided to enter the NBA Draft that same year. He was selected fourth overall by the New Orleans Hornets and went on to become an All-Star point guard for them as well as other teams throughout his career.
In 2008, Paul was traded from New Orleans to Los Angeles Clippers and quickly became one of the most clutch players in the league. In 2012, he led the Clippers to their first Pacific Division championship since 1976. During this time, he also made six consecutive All-Star appearances (2009-2014) as well as being named All-NBA First Team three times (2008–09; 2013–14).
In 2017, Paul signed a four-year contract with the Houston Rockets which eventually led him back to the Western Conference Finals after 14 years. In 2019, he was traded back to Oklahoma City Thunder where he currently plays today. Throughout his career, Paul has been known for his leadership skills both on and off court making him one of the greatest point guards of all time.
