Crystal Marie Reed is an American actress. She came to prominence for playing Allison Argent in the series Teen Wolf. She departed the series after the third season but made a guest appearance in the fifth season as Allison's ancestor Marie-Jeanne Valet.
Crystal Reed was born on February 6, 1985, in Detroit, Michigan. She is an American actress best known for her roles in MTV's teen drama series "Teen Wolf" and the horror series "The Shannara Chronicles."
Reed attended Roseville High School where she was a cheerleader and participated in theater. She later studied dance at Wayne State University before deciding to pursue an acting career.
Reed began her acting career with minor roles in television shows such as "CSI: Miami" and "Cold Case." She then appeared in TV movies such as "Skyline," "Lies Between Friends," and "Totally Baked." In 2011, she joined the main cast of MTV's popular teen drama series "Teen Wolf" which ran for six seasons until 2017. During this time, she also starred in the supernatural horror film "Crazy Bitches" (2014).
In 2016, Reed starred in the fantasy adventure television series “The Shannara Chronicles” based on the novel by Terry Brooks. The series ran for two seasons until 2018 with Reed playing one of the lead characters. She then went on to star in the TV movie “Love Struck Café” (2018) and has since guest-starred in several other shows including “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2020).
