Demi Gene Moore is an American actress. After making her film debut in 1981, Moore appeared on the soap opera General Hospital and subsequently gained recognition as a member of the Brat Pack with roles in Blame It on Rio, St. Elmo's Fire, and About Last Night....
Demi Gene Guynes, known professionally as Demi Moore, was born on November 11, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. She is an American actress and film producer who was initially a singer. She is the daughter of Virginia King and Charles Harmon. Her parents divorced when she was three months old and her mother remarried Danny Guynes.
At 16 years old, Moore dropped out of high school to pursue an acting career. She started off with minor roles in movies such as "Parasite" (1982) and "Choices" (1981). In 1984, Moore starred in the romantic comedy "No Small Affair". This led to a lead role in the movie "St. Elmo's Fire" (1985) alongside other 1980s Brat-Pack actors like Rob Lowe and Ally Sheedy. The movie was a box office success and made Moore an instant star.
Moore then went on to star in blockbusters like "Ghost", which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in 1991; "A Few Good Men" (1992); "Indecent Proposal"(1993); and "The Scarlet Letter"(1995). She also appeared in several critically acclaimed films like "G.I Jane"(1997), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress; and "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle"(2003).
Moore has been married three times: To Freddy Moore from 1980-1985; Bruce Willis from 1987-2000; and Ashton Kutcher from 2005-2013. She has three children: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis. Throughout her career, she has won numerous awards including two MTV Movie Awards and one People's Choice Award.
