Stacy Ann Ferguson, better known by her stage name Fergie, is an American singer and rapper. She first achieved chart success as part of the hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas.

Stacy Ann Ferguson, known professionally as Fergie, was born on March 27, 1975, in Hacienda Heights, California. She is an American pop and R&B singer-songwriter, rapper and actress. Her father, John Patrick Ferguson, was a schoolteacher who worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District; her mother Terri Gore was a homemaker. When she was 6 years old, Fergie joined the kids' vocal group Kids Incorporated and remained with them until she was 13 years old.
Fergie began her solo career in 2003 when she released her debut album The Dutchess which spawned five Billboard Hot 100 top five singles and sold over six million albums worldwide. The album earned her Grammy Award nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2008. In 2006 she released her second studio album The Duchess: Deluxe Edition which spawned four more top five singles and also earned her two Grammy Award nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
In 2009, Fergie released her third studio album The E•MO•TION•AL State which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and became one of the most successful albums of that year. It also spawned three more singles from the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. She has since continued to release music both as a solo artist and with other acts such as Black Eyed Peas and Wild Orchid. In 2018 she released Double Duchess which featured collaborations with many artists including Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and YG.
Fergie has won numerous awards throughout her career including three Grammy Awards, one MTV Video Music Award and seven Billboard Music Awards. She continues to tour around the world performing live shows in support of all of her albums.
