Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, known professionally as Future, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was born on November 20, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is of African-American descent and has a twin brother named Casino. His stage name came from the idea that he would be the future of rap music.

Future first began rapping in 2004 when he released his debut mixtape called “Dirty Sprite” under his original stage name, Meathead. After signing to Epic Records in 2011, he changed his name to Future and released his debut album “Pluto” the same year. The album went on to become certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Since then, he has released six studio albums including “Honest” (2014), “DS2” (2015), “EVOL” (2016), “FUTURE” (2017), “Hndrxx” (2017) and “The WIZRD” (2019).

Future has also been featured on many singles with other artists such as Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug and Kanye West. In 2017, he won two BET Awards for Best Collaboration ("Used To This" with Drake) and Viewer's Choice Award ("Mask Off" with Kendrick Lamar). He was also nominated for 4 Grammy Awards including Best Rap Album and Record of the Year ("Mask Off").
