Giveon Dezmann Evans, better known as Giveon, is an American R&B singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born on April 25, 1996 in Long Beach, California. Growing up in a musically inclined family, Giveon began playing both guitar and drums at a young age. He was inspired by classic soul singers such as Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. He attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School where he was part of the vocal ensemble.

Giveon first gained attention with his single "Stuck On You" released in 2019 which quickly became popular on streaming platforms. His debut album Take Time was released in 2020 and featured collaborations with Snoh Aalegra, Masego and Drake. In 2021, he released his second studio album When It's All Said And Done... featuring guest appearances from Chris Brown and Snoh Aalegra. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart making him the first independent artist to reach number one without any prior charting entries or singles entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Throughout his career Giveon has been nominated for several awards including a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song and two Soul Train Music Awards for Best New Artist and Album/Mixtape of the Year. He has also been featured on numerous high profile projects including Justin Bieber's "Peaches", Nas and Hit-Boy's "Replace Me" and Anderson .Paak's "Cut Em In".
