Grayson James Allen was born on October 8, 1995, in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA).     In 2014, Allen enrolled at Duke University and played college basketball under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski. During his freshman year, Allen helped lead the team to a 35-4 record and an appearance in the 2015 NCAA national championship game. During his 3 years playing with Duke, Allen was selected as one of the top 25 players in college basketball twice and was named ACC Player of the Year in 2016–17. 

    After being selected 21st overall by Utah Jazz during the 2018 NBA Draft, Allen quickly became one of their key rotation players and played 74 games during his rookie season. During his second season with Utah, he averaged 11 points per game while shooting 40% from beyond the arc. On November 24th 2020, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for Gorgui Dieng and two future 2nd round picks. 

    In addition to his basketball career, Grayson has taken time off to volunteer at local charities such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
