Jay Park is a rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and entrepreneur that is based in South Korea.
Jay Park is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, entrepreneur and record producer born on April 25, 1987 in Seattle, Washington. He is best known as the leader of South Korean hip-hop group 2PM and for his solo career. Park first rose to fame in South Korea as part of 2PM, one of the country’s most popular boy bands. After leaving 2PM in 2010 due to a scandal involving offensive comments he had made online in 2005, Park launched his solo career with his debut EP “Take a Deeper Look” (2011). His success as a solo artist grew with the release of subsequent albums such as “New Breed” (2012), “Evolution” (2014) and “Everything You Wanted” (2016). In 2019, he released the album “The Road Less Traveled” featuring collaborations with artists like CL and Wiz Khalifa.
In addition to releasing music, Jay Park has also become an entrepreneur. In 2013 he founded AOMG Entertainment which is now considered one of South Korea's top independent hip-hop labels. He was also appointed as Creative Director at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE’s Seoul office in 2017. Jay Park continues to be active in both music and business and has been named one of Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 in 2017.
