Jessica Ho, better known by her stage name Jessi, is an American rapper, singer, and entertainer based in South Korea. She was born in New York, raised in New Jersey, and moved to South Korea at the age of 15. Jessi originally debuted in South Korea in 2005 and temporarily was part of the hip hop group Uptown in 2006.

Jessi, born on December 17, 1988 as Ho Hyun-joo in New York City, is an American rapper and singer. She is the only child of South Korean immigrants living in the United States. Growing up with a passion for music, Jessi began writing her own songs at the age of 13. By the time she graduated from high school, she had already recorded multiple tracks and was featured on several mixtapes.

Jessi moved to South Korea in 2007 to pursue her career as a rapper and singer. After appearing on several television shows and gaining recognition from audiences, she released her first single "The Rapture" in 2008. Following this success, Jessi was signed by hip-hop label Lucky J Entertainment in 2010. She released her first EP entitled Get Up in 2011, followed by The Rebirth in 2013 and Un2versE in 2015.

In 2016, Jessi returned to the United States after a nine year hiatus and signed with P Nation Records where she released her fifth album NUNA under her new stage name Jessi. Since then, she has been featured on several reality shows including Unpretty Rapstar 3 (2016) and Sister Slam Dunk 2 (2017). In 2018, she made her official debut as a solo artist with the release of her sixth EP Alive. 

In addition to her solo work, Jessi has also collaborated with several other artists such as Jay Park, Raina of After School and Defconn. Her most recent collaboration was with Heize on the track “What You Waiting For” which was released in 2020.
