Joanna Noëlle Levesque, known professionally as JoJo, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She began performing in singing competitions and local talent shows as a child.

Joanna Noëlle Levesque, professionally known as “JoJo”, was born on December 20th, 1990 in Brattleboro, Vermont. At the age of 2 she moved to Foxborough, Massachusetts where she grew up and attended Foxborough High School. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress of French-Canadian descent.
At the young age of 6, JoJo began performing professionally by appearing on the television show Kids Say the Darndest Things. At age 12 JoJo released her debut single “Leave (Get Out)” which made her the youngest solo artist to have a number one single in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart at that time. This success led to her receiving a record deal with Blackground Records and releasing her debut album titled “JoJo” in 2004 when she was 13 years old.
In 2006, JoJo released her second studio album "The High Road". The album's lead single "Too Little Too Late" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned her two Teen Choice Awards for Choice Breakout Artist and Choice Single Female Artist. She later released two additional albums: "All I Want Is Everything" (2010) and "Mad Love" (2016).
In addition to her music career, JoJo has appeared in many films and television series such as Aquamarine (2006), True Jackson VP (2008–2011), Vampire Diaries (2012), Glee (2012–2015) and The Masked Singer (2019). In 2018 she competed on season 3 of The Voice as part of Team Kelly Clarkson where she finished in 4th place.
Today JoJo continues to make music while also working with various charities such as DoSomething! And Feeding America.
