Latto, born Latrice Robinson on July 18, 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American rapper. Growing up in the South, Latto was exposed to rap music at a very young age and quickly fell in love with it. She started writing her own rhymes and recording them at home when she was only 13 years old.

In 2016, Latto released her debut mixtape titled "The Rise". The project featured guest appearances from local artists as well as some established names like Cardi B, Waka Flocka Flame and more. The mixtape earned her critical acclaim and helped her break into the mainstream hip-hop scene.

Since then, Latto has released several successful projects including two solo albums. Her debut album "Girl Code" was released in 2018 and peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her second album "Unlock" was released in 2020 and debuted at number one on the same chart. Along with her solo work, she has also collaborated with other artists such as Future, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz and many more.

Latto is known for her unique style of rap which blends classic hip-hop sounds with modern pop elements. She often talks about topics such as female empowerment, self-love and Black culture in her lyrics. In 2019 she won the BET Award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist and has since become one of the most recognized rappers in the industry today.
