About

Lonzo Anderson Ball was born on October 27, 1997, in Anaheim, California. His zodiac sign is Scorpio and his ethnicity is African-American. He is the son of LaVar Ball and Tina Ball and has two brothers – LiAngelo and LaMelo.

Ball started playing basketball since he was a young age but didn’t show much interest in the sport until he reached high school. In his freshman year at Chino Hills High School, he averaged 20 points per game and eventually led the team to their first state championship title. During his senior season, he averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals per game while leading them back to a state title. He was named a McDonald's All-American in 2016.

In 2017, Ball declared for the NBA Draft and was drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. In his rookie season, he played all 82 games averaging 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists while becoming the youngest player to record a triple-double with 19 years old. In 2018–19, Ball had an injury-plagued season but still managed to average 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 40% from three-point range over 47 games.

In 2019–20, Ball started strong for the Lakers and established himself as one of the premier defenders in the league before suffering a knee injury that caused him to miss nearly 40 games of action in that campaign as well as part of the following season due to complications from surgery on his left knee meniscus tear that occurred during that time. In 2021–22 however Lonzo returned from injury with improved shooting ability and defensive acumen which helped him become an important contributor off the bench for the championship contending Los Angeles Lakers squad
