Miguel Jontel Pimentel is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Raised in San Pedro, California, he began pursuing a music career at age thirteen. After signing to Jive Records in 2007, Miguel released his debut studio album, All I Want Is You, in November 2010.

Miguel Jontel Pimentel was born on October 23, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. He is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Miguel began his career by performing as a backup vocalist for the alternative hip hop group Black Eyed Peas. In 2005, he signed to Jive Records and released his debut studio album "All I Want Is You" in 2010. The album debuted at number 37 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured the singles "Sure Thing" and "Quickie".
In 2012, Miguel released his second album "Kaleidoscope Dream", which earned him two Grammy Award nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Album of the Year. His third studio album Wildheart was released in 2015 and earned him another Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. In 2017, he released his fourth studio album War & Leisure, which earned him a Grammy nomination for both Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
Miguel has collaborated with artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Cardi B, Mariah Carey, Big Sean, Travis Scott and many more. His music is described as “alternative R&B” which combines elements of soul music with contemporary hip hop beats. He has won numerous awards throughout his career including five BET Awards, four Soul Train Music Awards and three NAACP Image Awards.
