Sean Taro Ono Lennon (Japanese: 小野 太郎, Hepburn: Ono Tarō, born October 9, 1975) is an American–British musician, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and half-brother to Julian Lennon.

Sean Ono Lennon was born on October 9, 1975 in New York City. He is the son of singer-songwriter John Lennon and Yoko Ono. His godfather was Beatles guitarist George Harrison and his godmother is actress Fran Walsh. He was named after his father's band mate Paul McCartney.
Lennon began his musical career as a member of the Japanese avant-garde group Cibo Matto in 1996. After the band dissolved in 2001, he formed his own music label, Chimera Music, releasing albums with various artists including The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger. In 2006, he released two solo albums: Friendly Fire and Into the Sun.
In 2010, Lennon collaborated with Les Claypool and Dean Ween to form the psychedelic rock supergroup The Claypool Lennon Delirium. They released their debut album Monolith of Phobos in 2016 and followed it up with South of Reality in 2019.
Lennon also works as an actor, appearing in films such as "Friendly Fire", "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead", and "Mystery Train". In 2014, he starred alongside Mandy Moore in the movie "The Dark Horse". He has also appeared on television shows such as "Third Rock From The Sun" and "7th Heaven".
In addition to his music career, Lennon is an activist for various causes including animal rights and environmentalism. He sits on the board of directors for Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring Jamaica Bay in Queens, New York City.
