Annie Lennox was born on December 25, 1954 in Aberdeen, Scotland. She is a pop singer, songwriter and philanthropist who rose to fame as part of the duo Eurythmics with Dave Stewart. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn. Lennox began playing piano at an early age and eventually attended the Royal Academy of Music in London.

In 1975, she formed a band called The Tourists with Stewart and released several albums before disbanding in 1980. After the group's dissolution, Lennox and Stewart formed Eurythmics, which became one of the most successful duos in music history. They released eight studio albums together between 1981-2005 that featured hit songs like “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, “Love Is a Stranger” and “Here Comes the Rain Again”.

Throughout her career she has won numerous awards including four Grammy Awards, seven Brit Awards and an Academy Award for Best Original Song (“Into the West” from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King). In addition to her musical success, Lennox is also an advocate for HIV/AIDS related causes through her charity work with organizations such as RED, Product Red and Keep A Child Alive.
