Brad Pitt was born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius and his ethnicity is English, Welsh, French, and Dutch. He is the son of Jane Etta Hillhouse and William Alvin Pitt. Brad began his acting career by appearing in television commercials in Los Angeles after enrolling at the University of Missouri.

He later moved to Los Angeles where he appeared in a few B-grade films before making his debut with the movie Thelma & Louise (1991). He received critical acclaim for his performance in 12 Monkeys (1995) and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

In 2011 he starred in Moneyball which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. In 2014 he starred opposite Angelina Jolie in the film Maleficent, and his most recent roles include Allied (2016), War Machine (2017), and Ad Astra (2019).

Pitt has also had a successful producing career with credits including The Departed (2006), The Tree of Life (2011), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Selma (2014), Vice (2018), and Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood (2019). He has been nominated for several Golden Globe Awards for his work as an actor and producer as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award.
