Chief Keef, born Keith Cozart in 1995, is an American rapper from the South Side of Chicago. He attended Dulles Elementary School and later transferred to Banner High School before dropping out altogether. He gained recognition for his song "I Don't Like", which became a hit on YouTube, leading to a record deal with Interscope Records. Chief Keef's debut album Finally Rich was released in 2012 and featured guest appearances from 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and others.

Keef's second studio album, Bang Pt. 2, was released in 2013 and included collaborations with Waka Flocka Flame, Mac Miller and French Montana. His third studio album Back From the Dead 2 was released in 2014 and featured collaborations with Soulja Boy and Lil Durk among others. The same year he released three mixtapes: Almighty DP 2, Nobody 2 and Bang 3 Part 1. In 2015, he released another mixtape titled Sorry 4 the Weight as well as two EPs: Ottopsy and Almighty So 2. His fourth studio album The Dedication was released in 2017 followed by two more mixtapes: Thot Breaker (2017) and Mansion Musick (2018).
