Danny McBride was born on December 29, 1976, in Statesboro, Georgia. He is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his roles in films like Pineapple Express and This Is the End. He is also well-known for his starring roles in HBO's Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals. His zodiac sign is Capricorn and his ethnicity is African-American.

McBride attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he majored in film production before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He made his acting debut on the popular television series The Guiding Light in 2001. In 2005, he had a memorable role as Fred Simmons in The Foot Fist Way, which gained him some recognition as an actor. This led to more roles in films such as Hot Rod (2007) and Pineapple Express (2008). 

In 2009, McBride starred alongside Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the cult comedy hit Step Brothers which grossed over $100 million worldwide at the box office. That same year he created and starred in the HBO series Eastbound & Down where he played Kenny Powers, a former major league baseball pitcher whose career has gone downhill due to his own personal issues with drugs and alcohol abuse. The show received critical acclaim for its originality and McBride won two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as Powers. 

In 2015, McBride wrote, produced and starred in HBO's series Vice Principals alongside Walton Goggins which ran until 2017. Since then he has appeared in various films such as Alien: Covenant (2017) and Halloween (2018). He will be appearing in upcoming projects like Halloween Kills (2021) and The Righteous Gemstones (2021).
