Eva Green was born on July 6th, 1980 in Paris, France. She is the daughter of French actress Marlène Jobert and Swedish dentist Walter Green. She was raised bilingual in both English and French, with her mother being a French native and her father having a Swedish ancestry.

Green attended the American School of Paris for her secondary education and later moved to England to attend Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. After graduating, she returned to France to pursue an acting career. In 2001, she made her first appearance in Bernardo Bertolucci's film "The Dreamers". Her breakthrough role came in 2006 when she starred in the Tim Burton fantasy-adventure film "Casino Royale" alongside Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Green has since appeared in numerous other films such as “300: Rise of an Empire” (2014) and “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” (2016). She has acted on stage as well, performing in productions of Shakespeare's plays at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and The Old Vic theatres. She made an impressive Broadway debut starring opposite Ewan McGregor in a production of Tennessee Williams' "The Deep Blue Sea". 

In addition to acting, Green is also a model who has graced the covers of several magazines including Madame Figaro, Elle France and L'Officiel, among others. She continues to be one of Hollywood's most sought-after actresses today.
