Willie Maxwell II, better known by his stage name Fetty Wap, was born on June 7th, 1991 in Paterson, New Jersey. His zodiac sign is Gemini and he has African-American and Trinidadian ancestry. He grew up with nine siblings in a very poor household, but his mother worked hard to support the family.

Fetty Wap learned how to read music at a young age and also taught himself how to play the piano and guitar. His musical influences include Tupac Shakur, 50 Cent and Missy Elliott. In 2013, Fetty Wap released his first single “Trap Queen” which became an instant hit and reached number two on Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2015, he released his debut album titled “Fetty Wap” which included hit singles such as “My Way” and “679”. The album received generally positive reviews from critics and went on to sell over one million copies worldwide.

In 2016, Fetty Wap won two Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance (for “Trap Queen”) and Best Rap Song (for “Trap Queen”). In 2017, he released his second studio album titled “King Zoo” which featured hit singles such as “Wake Up” and “Flip Phone”. He has since released several additional mixtapes including “For My Fans III: The Final Chapter” (2017) and “You Know the Vibes” (2019). 

Aside from music, Fetty Wap is also an entrepreneur who has launched various business ventures such as a clothing line called Almightys Clothing Company and an app called Trap Mobile Gaming that allows users to play video games based on music from his albums.
