Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson was born on August 28, 2005, in McIntyre, Georgia. She is an American reality star and social media personality who rose to fame after appearing on the TLC series "Toddlers & Tiaras". She is the daughter of June Shannon, also known as "Mama June", and Mike Thompson. Honey Boo Boo has two sisters, Lauryn Shannon and Jessica Shannon.

At the age of six, she became a child beauty pageant contestant and competed in pageants such as Miss Georgia Mini Supreme and Little Miss United States pageant. In 2012, she made her debut on the TLC series "Toddlers & Tiaras", which propelled her to stardom. Her own show, titled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," premiered in August of that year. The show followed Alana's life at home with her family and their adventures around town.

In 2014, it was announced that a spin-off of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo would air on TLC called "Mama June: From Not To Hot". It documented Mama June's transformation from overweight to slimming down for revenge against Sugar Bear (June's ex-husband).

Honey Boo Boo has appeared on numerous television shows including Dancing With The Stars: Juniors alongside her sister Lauryn in 2018. She also has a large presence on social media where she posts updates about her day-to-day life and shares inspirational quotes with her followers.
