About

Paul George was born on May 2, 1990, in Palmdale, California. His zodiac sign is Taurus and he is of African-American ethnicity. He is the son of Paulette and Paul George Sr., and his parents were very supportive of his basketball ambitions from an early age. He attended Knight High School where he was a three-time all-league honoree in basketball and also played football.

In 2009, George declared for the NBA Draft, but decided to withdraw his name before the deadline. Instead, he chose to attend Fresno State University to play college basketball. He had a successful freshman season at Fresno State, averaging 16.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game and 3.0 assists per game for the Bulldogs.

After two seasons at Fresno State, George declared for the 2010 NBA Draft and was selected 10th overall by the Indiana Pacers. During his first three seasons with the Pacers, he showed steady improvement while becoming one of the most promising young players in the league. In 2013–14, George earned his first All-Star selection and was named to the All-NBA Third Team and All-Defensive Second Team as well as finishing third in MVP voting after leading Indiana to 56 wins and its second consecutive Central Division title.

In 2014–15, George suffered a devastating leg injury during a USA Basketball intrasquad scrimmage that forced him to miss most of that season; however he came back stronger than ever in 2015–16 when he won Most Improved Player honors after leading Indiana back into playoff contention with 23.1 points per game on .461 shooting from beyond the arc (the highest 3pt percentage ever among players attempting at least 500 3s).

After seven seasons with Indiana, George was traded to Oklahoma City Thunder prior to 2017–18 season where he formed a formidable duo with Russell Westbrook that led them to two Western Conference finals appearances in 2018 & 2019. In July 2019, George opted out of his contract with OKC and became an unrestricted free agent signing with the Los Angeles Clippers later that month where he currently plays alongside Kawhi Leonard forming one of the best duos in the league today.
