Aaron Charles Rodgers is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
Aaron Charles Rodgers was born on December 2, 1983, in Chico, California. He is the son of Darla Leigh and Edward Wesley Rodgers. His ethnicity is Caucasian and his zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
Rodgers attended Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, where he played football for the school's team during his junior and senior years. He then attended Butte Community College in Oroville, California before transferring to the University of California-Berkeley to play football with the Golden Bears. His collegiate career was successful as he set several records including most passing yards in a single game (566) and most touchdown passes in a single game (6).
In 2005, Rodgers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers as their 24th overall pick. The following season, Rodgers became the starting quarterback for the team after Brett Favre retired. After three seasons of being a back-up quarterback, Rodgers led the Packers to their first Super Bowl victory since 1997 in 2011 when they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25. Since then, he has been selected to eight Pro Bowls and won two MVP awards (2011 & 2014).
In 2018, Rodgers signed a four year extension with the Packers worth $134 million making him one of the highest paid players in NFL history. He has also become one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history with numerous records including most touchdown passes thrown without an interception (402), highest passer rating by season (122.5) and lowest interception rate among qualified passers (1.6%).
