Abhishek Bachchan (born 5 February 1976) is an Indian actor and film producer known for his work in Hindi films. Part of the Bachchan family, he is the son of actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and the grandson of poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and social activist Teji Bachchan.

After completing his schooling he went on to study economics at Aiglon College in Switzerland before returning to India and enrolling at the University of Delhi for a two year program in business management.

Abhishek made his film debut with J.P Dutta's Refugee (2000). The same year he also appeared in Gulzar's Fiza which earned him critical acclaim and a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award nomination. In 2001 he starred alongside Hrithik Roshan in the action drama Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which was highly successful and received critical praise, earning multiple awards including Filmfare Best Actor Award nominations for both lead actors. He has since had roles in many other films such as Dhoom (2004), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Sarkar (2005) and Guru (2007). In 2007 he won a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in Dostana. He also ventured into production with his company AB Corp Ltd., producing films like Paa (2009) and Manmarziyaan (2018).
