Abigail Breslin is an American actress. She rose to prominence with the comedy-drama film Little Miss Sunshine, for which she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 10.
Abigail Breslin was born on April 14, 1996 in New York City, United States. She is the daughter of Kim and Michael Breslin and has four siblings: Ryan, Spencer, Jake and Makenna. She began acting when she was only three years old.
Abigail's first major role was in the 2002 movie Signs opposite Mel Gibson. In 2006 she starred in Little Miss Sunshine opposite Steve Carell which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at just 10 years old. She also appeared in Nim's Island with Jodie Foster and No Reservations with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
In 2009 she starred in the comedy Zombieland alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson. She also starred in the 2010 remake of The Last Song opposite Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, and had a role on the hit TV show Scream Queens.
Abigail has since gone on to star in numerous films such as Ender's Game (2013), Maggie (2015), Dirty Grandpa (2016) and Patriots Day (2017). She has also appeared on Broadway twice, once in 2011 playing Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and again in 2017 portraying Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker.
