Ariana Grande-Butera was born in Boca Raton, Florida on June 26th, 1993. She is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Her parents are Joan Grande and Edward Butera and she has an older brother named Frankie. She is of Italian descent, with both her parents being of Sicilian ancestry. Ariana began her career in 2008 when she played the role of Charlotte in the Broadway production 13.

In 2009, Ariana made her television debut on Nickelodeon's Victorious as Cat Valentine. She recorded several songs for the show's soundtrack albums which propelled her to new heights in the music industry. In 2013, Ariana released her debut studio album Yours Truly which spawned the hit singles "The Way" and "Baby I". Her second album My Everything (2014) also produced numerous chart-topping hits such as "Bang Bang", "Problem", and "Love Me Harder".

In 2016, Ariana released her third studio album Dangerous Woman which included hit singles like "Side To Side" featuring Nicki Minaj and "Into You". The success of this album earned Grandea Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in 2017. In 2018, she released Sweetener which contained another smash hit single titled "No Tears Left to Cry". She released her fifth studio album thank u, next in 2019 which again became a commercial success reaching number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.
