Bae Suzy, born on October 10, 1994, is a South Korean pop singer and actress. She was born in Gwangju, South Korea and is the youngest member of the girl group Miss A. Prior to her singing career, she was an online shopping model. She studied at Seoul Performing Arts High School and graduated from Dongguk University with a degree in performing arts.

Suzy's music career began when she joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee after auditioning for the company's talent show in 2009. In 2010, Suzy debuted as part of the girl group Miss A with their single "Bad Girl Good Girl". The group released several hit songs such as "Good Bye Baby", "Touch", and "Hush". They also went on to win various awards including the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Female Dance Performance in 2011.

In addition to her singing career, Suzy has also established herself as an actress having starred in television dramas such as Dream High (2011), Gu Family Book (2013), Uncontrollably Fond (2016) and While You Were Sleeping (2017). She has won several awards for her acting including the Baeksang Arts Awards for Best New Actress and SBS Drama Awards for Top Excellence Actress Awards both in 2013.
