Rebbeca Marie Gomez, better known as Becky G, was born on March 2nd 1997 in Inglewood, California. She is a singer and rapper of Mexican descent and began her music career at the age of 11 when she started posting videos of herself singing on YouTube. In 2011 she released her first single "Becky from the Block" which quickly gained her popularity and over 27 million views on YouTube.

In 2013, she signed with Kemosabe Records and later became the opening act for J Balvin's La Familia Tour in 2014. That same year she released her debut EP titled Play It Again, featuring hit singles such as "Can't Stop Dancin'" and "Shower". Her debut studio album, titled MALA SANTA, was released in 2019 and included chart topping hits such as "Mayores", "Sin Pijama", and "Mala Santa".

Becky G has also ventured into acting appearing in multiple movies including Power Rangers (2017), The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) and most recently Netflix's musical drama series YA. In addition to her music career, Becky G has been an advocate for numerous causes such as LGBT rights, women’s empowerment, education reform and anti-bullying campaigns.
