DaBaby (born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk on December 22, 1991) is an American rapper from Charlotte, North Carolina. He started rapping in high school and became a local sensation with the release of his first mixtape NonFiction in 2015. He followed this up with Billion Dollar Baby in 2016, which included the hit single "Light Show". His popularity grew even further with the release of Baby Talk 5 in 2017, and his mainstream success began when he released the single "Walker Texas Ranger" in 2018.

Since then, DaBaby has become one of the hottest names in hip-hop. His debut studio album Baby on Baby was released in 2019 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album spawned two Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles: "Suge" and "Bop". DaBaby's second studio album Kirk was released later that year and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It also earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance for "Bop". He released his third studio album Blame It On Baby in 2020 which charted at number one on the Billboard 200 as well.

DaBaby has won several awards during his career including multiple BET Hip Hop Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and American Music Awards. He has collaborated with many artists such as Post Malone, Lil Baby, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Drake and more.
