Dave Franco was born in Palo Alto, California on June 12, 1985. He is an American actor and producer. He is the youngest of three brothers, his older brother being James Franco. Dave attended the University of Southern California for a year before dropping out to pursue acting.

Franco began his career with small roles in films such as Superbad (2007) and Charlie St. Cloud (2010). His first major role came in the 2010 comedy film "Fright Night". He then went on to appear in numerous other comedies including 21 Jump Street (2012), Now You See Me (2013), Neighbors (2014) and its sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016).

In addition to his comedic roles, Franco has appeared in dramatic films such as The Disaster Artist (2017) and 6 Balloons (2018). He also starred in Netflix’s “The Rental” which was released in 2020.

In 2017, Franco made his producing debut with The Masterpiece; he also produced The Disaster Artist that same year. Besides acting and producing, he has written two books—Dave Franco's Guide To Life (2015) and Boring Book: An Unofficial Unauthorized Autobiography Of Dave Franco (2017).

Dave has been nominated for several awards throughout his career including Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Comedy Supporting Actor for The Disaster Artist; MTV Movie & TV Awards for Best Comedic Performance for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising; People's Choice Awards for Favorite Comedic Movie Actor for both Now You See Me and Neighbors; Teen Choice Awards for Choice Movie Actor: Comedy for both 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street; and Young Hollywood Awards for Breakthrough Performance — Male for 21 Jump Street.
