Ellie Goulding is an English singer and songwriter who has achieved international success in the pop music world. Born in Hereford, England on December 30th 1986, Goulding began her musical journey at a young age when she started playing the clarinet at school. She later taught herself to play guitar and began writing songs as a teenager that inspired many of her early hits such as "Starry Eyed" and "Lights". 

Goulding released her debut album Lights, which went on to become a huge hit all over Europe, earning double platinum status in both the United Kingdom and Ireland. The album also spawned five singles including; “Starry Eyed”, “Guns & Horses”, “The Writer” ,and “Your Song." She subsequently won two BRIT Awards for Best Female Solo Artist (2011) and British Album Of The Year (2012). 

Her sophomore effort Halcyon was released in 2012 with four chart-topping singles including; "Anything Could Happen", "Burn", "I Need Your Love" featuring Calvin Harris's production skills ,and the critically acclaimed single "Explosions". In 2013 Ellie was nominated for three Grammy awards for Record of the Year ("Love Me Like You Do"), Best Pop Vocal Album (Halcyon Days), and Best Music Video ("Burn"). Most recently Ellie has continued to tour extensively around Europe while working on new material from her third studio record Delirium . Her first single off Delirium is titled On My Mind and it quickly became one of 2015's biggest summer anthems.
