David Thomas Jones was an English actor and singer. Best known as a member of the band the Monkees and a co-star of the TV series The Monkees, Jones was considered a teen idol.
Davy Jones was born on December 30, 1945 in Manchester, England. He was the son of a musician and an artist, and he grew up surrounded by music. He became involved in musical theater at a young age, and began his professional career as a singer at the age of fifteen.
