Emily Olivia Leah Blunt is a British actress. She is the recipient of several accolades, including a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, in addition to nominations for three British Academy Film Awards. Forbes ranked her as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world in 2020.

Emily Olivia Leah Blunt was born on February 23, 1983 in London, England. She is the second of four children of Joanna Mackie and barrister Oliver Simon Peter Blunt. Her mother is a former teacher and her father is a barrister who specialize in tax law, both parents studied at Oxford University. Blunt began acting at the age of 16 after attending a drama school in London. She made her film debut in My Summer of Love (2004).
Blunt received critical acclaim for her role in The Devil Wears Prada (2006), for which she earned her first Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture. In 2007, she starred alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in the musical comedy-drama, Into the Woods. From 2009 to 2015, she appeared as secret agent Rachel Dalton in the British television series Edge of Tomorrow and its sequel. For her performance in Sicario (2015), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2018, Blunt starred opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda in Mary Poppins Returns, a sequel to Disney's 1964 film Mary Poppins. For this role she won the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and three Golden Globe Awards including Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
Some other notable films that feature Blunt include The Adjustment Bureau (2011), Looper (2012) Animal Crackers (2017), A Quiet Place (2018) and Jungle Cruise (2020). Additionally, Blunt lent her voice to two animated films: Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) and My Little Pony: The Movie (2017).
