Hunter Schafer was born on June 15, 1997, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her zodiac sign is Gemini and her ethnicity is Caucasian. She attended Ravenscroft School for her primary education and moved to New York City during her high school years to pursue a career as a model. She eventually signed with IMG Models and has worked with brands such as Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, and Rodarte. 

    In 2019, Schafer made her acting debut in the HBO television series “Euphoria” where she played the role of Jules Vaughn. Her performance in the series earned her critical acclaim and she was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2020 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also appeared in the music video for Taylor Swift's "You Need To Calm Down" which was released in 2019. 

    Schafer is a transgender woman who has been active in advocating for LGBTQ rights since she was 17-years-old. She has served as a Youth Ambassador for The National Center for Transgender Equality and has spoken at events such as the Women's March on Washington DC. In 2020, she joined GLAAD's board of directors, becoming the youngest board member ever to serve on GLAAD's board.
