Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known as Iggy Azalea, is an Australian rapper, singer, songwriter, and model born on June 7th, 1990 in Sydney, Australia. She has been active in the music industry since 2011. When she was 16 years old, she moved to Miami for one year before relocating to Houston. At age 17, she moved to Los Angeles.

Azalea began her career by releasing her debut mix tape 'Ignorant Art' in 2011. The following year she released her debut EP 'Glory', which spawned the singles "Pu$$y" and "My World". In 2013 she released her second mixtape 'TrapGold', followed by the EP 'TrapGold Deluxe Edition'. Her major-label debut studio album 'The New Classic' arrived in 2014 and was certified gold by the RIAA. That same year she also featured on Ariana Grande's hit single "Problem".

In 2016 Azalea released her second studio album 'Digital Distortion' along with its lead single "Team". Following its release, she embarked on a world tour entitled The Digital Distortion Tour. In 2018 Azalea announced that she had signed a new record deal with Island Records and was working on an upcoming album titled Surviving the Summer.

Iggy Azalea has won numerous awards throughout her career including ASCAP Pop Music Awards for Most Performed Song (2015) and Best Rap Artist of the Year (2014). She has also received multiple nominations at Billboard Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.
