Khalid Donnel Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, is an American singer and songwriter. He is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. He rose to fame after the release of his debut studio album American Teen, which was certified 4× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Khalid Donnel Robinson, better known as Khalid, was born on February 11th, 1998 in Fort Stewart, Georgia. His zodiac sign is Aquarius, and his ethnicity is African-American. He moved a lot during his childhood due to his father's military career and has lived in six different states by the time he was 14.
Khalid first developed an interest in music when he was in middle school and began writing songs with friends at the age of 12. In high school, he formed a rap group called “The Glitch” which specialized in producing remixes of popular songs. As a solo artist, Khalid released his debut single “Location” in 2016 which gained him recognition from both critics and fans alike. By the end of 2017, “Location” had been certified Platinum by the RIAA and was also certified Gold by ARIA and MC.
In 2018, Khalid released his second studio album "Suncity" which included hit singles such as "OTW", "Saturday Nights", and "Better". Later that year, he won the American Music Award for Favorite Male Artist - Soul/R&B as well as MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. The following year he received two Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Music Video for "Talk".
Throughout his career so far, Khalid has collaborated with numerous artists including Fifth Harmony, Normani, Calvin Harris, Alessia Cara and more. He has also made appearances on various television shows such as The Late Late Show With James Corden and Saturday Night Live.
