Raised in the Bronx neighborhood of Queensbridge, Lil Tecca began his music career at age 16 when he released his debut single "Ransom" in 2019. The single quickly gained traction with millions of streams and eventually was certified 3x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Following its success, he released his debut album We Love You Tecca in August 2019 which debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the hit single "Did It Again". His second studio album Virgo World was released in August 2020, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In addition to rapping, Lil Tecca has also ventured into acting appearing in a few small roles including a brief cameo appearance in the Netflix movie Project Power starring Jamie Foxx. He has also appeared as a guest artist on several singles with popular artists such as Juice WRLD and NAV.
