About

Mark Lee is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter born on May 3, 1994 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He first gained attention with his debut mixtape City Lights in 2014. He has since released several singles and two additional mixtapes. His music has been praised for its infectious beats and clever lyrics that tackle topics ranging from love to politics.

Lee's passion for rap began at an early age when he was influenced by local hip-hop artists from his neighbourhood. At the age of 16 he started writing his own rhymes and soon after began performing in small venues around Vancouver. After gaining traction locally, he released his first single “Money Talk” in 2012 which earned him recognition from the city’s hip-hop scene. Following this, he released his debut mixtape City Lights in 2014 which included features from prominent artists such as Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

Since then, Lee has continued to release new material and tour across Canada and the US. In 2018 he released his third mixtape “The Great Escape” which featured production from Cardo, who has worked with artists such as Drake, Future and Jay-Z. Lee is currently working on a new album set to be released sometime in 2020.
