Brenton Thwaites is an Australian actor who was born on August 10, 1989 in Cairns, Queensland. He is best known for his roles in The Giver, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent and Goddess of Love. His zodiac sign is Leo and his ethnicity is Caucasian. 

Thwaites began his acting career at age 17 when he appeared as Luke Gallagher in the Australian television series Blue Water High. He then continued to pursue a career in acting with minor roles in television shows such as Home and Away and SLiDE. In 2012, he starred alongside Geoffrey Rush and Emily Browning in the movie adaptation of The Giver which helped propel him into stardom. 

In 2015, Thwaites starred alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales where he played Henry Turner. Following that role, he starred opposite Angelina Jolie in Maleficent playing Prince Phillip. In 2017, he also starred in a romantic drama film called Goddess of Love which earned him critical acclaim from critics. 

Thwaites' most recent works include starring alongside Nicole Kidman and Lucas Hedges in Boy Erased (2018), appearing as Dick Grayson/Nightwing in Titans (2018-2019) and playing Tom Curry/Aquaman's father Thomas Curry in Aquaman (2018). He has also been cast to play John Diggle Jr., Oliver Queen's son, for the upcoming season of Arrowverse's show Arrow (2020).
