Brittany Anne Murphy-Monjack was an American actress and singer. Born in Atlanta, Murphy moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and pursued a career in acting. Her breakthrough role was as Tai Frasier in Clueless, followed by supporting roles in independent films such as Freeway and Bongwater.

After that, she went on to appear in a variety of films such as "8 Mile", "Sin City", "Just Married", and "Riding in Cars With Boys". Brittany also starred in the animated movie "Happy Feet" as Gloria Penguin and voiced Luanne Platter on the hit TV show "King of the Hill". In 2004, Brittany won an MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Team for her work with Ashton Kutcher on the movie "Just Married".
In addition to her acting career, Brittany also had a successful music career. She released her debut album, "Something Like This" in 2003 which featured guest appearances from artists like Jay-Z and Paul Oakenfold. She also wrote and performed a song for the movie “Love and Other Disasters” titled “Faster Kill Pussycat”.
Tragically, Brittany passed away suddenly at the young age of 32 due to pneumonia complicated by multiple drug intoxication. Her death shook Hollywood and left many fans feeling heartbroken over the loss of such a beloved actress, singer, and person.
