Corey Ian Haim was a Canadian actor. He starred in a number of 1980s films, such as Lucas, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. His role alongside Corey Feldman in The Lost Boys made him a household name.
Corey Ian Haim was born on December 23, 1971, in Toronto, Canada. His zodiac sign is Capricorn, and his ethnicity is Jewish. He was the son of Bernie Haim and Judy Haim. He had an older sister, named Carol.
Haim began appearing in television commercials when he was ten years old. In 1984, Haim got his breakthrough role in the coming-of-age movie 'Firstborn', alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr.
In 1986, he starred in the horror film 'The Lost Boys' alongside Kiefer Sutherland, which became a cult classic and made him a teen idol. In 1987, he appeared in the TV series 'Roomies' as well as several other films; including 'Lucas', 'License to Drive', and 'Dream a Little Dream'. In 1989, he co-starred with Corey Feldman in the supernatural comedy-horror film 'Dream A Little Dream'.
In 1990, he starred in the drama-thriller film 'Prayer of the Rollerboys', but it failed to make a mark at the box office. In 1991, he starred in the comedy-drama film 'The Double 0 Kid' alongside Linda Kozlowski and Richard Grieco. The same year he starred in another movie titled 'Fast Getaway'. In 1993, Haim released his debut album entitled ‘Corey Haim’ but it did not do well commercially due to lack of promotion from his record label.
Haim's career slowed down after 2000 and he continued to act sporadically until his death on March 10th 2010 due to complications from pneumonia at 38 years old.
