Elijah Jordan Wood is an American actor, voice actor, DJ and producer known for his work in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Wood is voicing the character Jace Rucklin as a guest role in the ongoing 2018 animated series Star Wars Resistance.

Elijah Jordan Wood was born on January 28, 1981 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is an American actor who started his career as a child artist in the film industry. His parents are Debra and Warren Wood. Elijah has two brothers: Zack and Zachary. 

At the age of seven, he began modeling for various print ads and television commercials, eventually landing roles in films like Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Paradise (1991). In 1994, he starred in The War, which earned him critical acclaim. He then went on to star in several other productions such as Deep Impact (1998), The Faculty (1998) and The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-2003). 

In 2004, he starred in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Sin City. He also voiced characters for animated films such as Happy Feet (2006) and 9 (2009). In 2007, he co-founded the production company SpectreVision with Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller and Lisa Whalen. 

Wood's later works include Maniac (2012), Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012), Grand Piano (2013), Set Fire to the Stars (2014) and I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore (2017). He also reprised his role as Frodo Baggins in The Hobbit trilogy between 2012-2014. 

He has been nominated for several awards including Saturn Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics' Choice Movie Awards.
