Gabrielle Monique Union-Wade is an American actress. Her career began in the 1990s, when she made dozens of appearances on television sitcoms, prior to landing supporting roles in 1999 teen films She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You.
Gabrielle Monique Union was born on October 29, 1972, in Omaha, Nebraska. Her zodiac sign is Scorpio, and her ethnicity is African-American. She was raised by her mother Theresa Union, a phone company manager and social worker, and her father Sylvester Union, a military sergeant. At the age of eight, she began modeling and appeared in several television commercials.
Union attended the University of Nebraska, where she majored in sociology and minored in theater arts. After college she moved to California to pursue an acting career. In 1998, Union made her feature film debut with the comedy “She’s All That” alongside Freddie Prinze Jr., which was a critical success at the box office.
Union went on to act in numerous films such as “Bring It On” (2000), “Bad Boys II” (2003), “Deliver Us From Eva” (2003), “Daddy’s Little Girls” (2007) and “Think Like A Man” (2012). She also starred in many television series like “City of Angels” (2000-01), “Friends” (2004-06) and “Ugly Betty” (2006-07). In 2017, Union joined the cast of the hit series “Being Mary Jane” as Mary Jane Paul; it ran until 2019.
In 2020, Union reprised her role as Neesee James in BET+'s sequel series "The Game Reunion". She also stars opposite Jessica Alba in NBC's drama series "LA's Finest", which premiered in 2019 and has been renewed for a second season.
