Jeongyeon (born Yoo Kyung-wan) was born on November 1, 1996 in Suwon, South Korea. She is a member of the K-pop girl group Twice, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015. She attended Hanlim Multi Arts School and graduated from the Department of Practical Music at Dongduk Women's University in 2019.

Jeongyeon debuted with Twice in October 2015 with their first EP “The Story Begins”. The group has since released four full length studio albums and eleven EPs, all of which have achieved commercial success and critical acclaim. Jeongyeon is known for her vocal range as well as her sultry stage presence and dance skills.

Outside of Twice, Jeongyeon has made several notable variety show appearances, such as “Weekly Idol” and “Idol Room”. She also featured on the 2016 single “Cheer Up”, which won Song of the Year at the 2017 Melon Music Awards. In 2018 she became a fixed cast member on SBS variety show “My Ugly Duckling”.

In 2020, Jeongyeon released her first solo song “Stay By My Side” as part of the soundtrack for JTBC drama series "18 Moments". Later that same year she collaborated with Sunmi for the single "Where Is Your Heart At?".
