Robert Irwin is an Australian reality star and wildlife photographer best known for appearing on his family's show Crikey! It's the Irwins. He is the son of Steve Irwin, who was also a wildlife expert, and has continued in his father's footsteps.
Robert Clarence Irwin was born on December 1, 2003, in Buderim, Australia. He is the son of Terri Irwin and Steve Irwin. His parents were wildlife conservationists and owners of the Australia Zoo located in Beerwah, Queensland. Robert has two siblings; a sister named Bindi Irwin and a brother named Brandon Irwin.
Robert began appearing on camera at age two when he starred with his parents in the television series “The Crocodile Hunter Diaries”. He also appeared with his family in other programs such as “Bindi: The Jungle Girl” and “Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course”. In 2007 he made an appearance on “Good Morning America” to promote his father's posthumous book “Steve & Me” which he co-authored with Terri.
In 2018, Robert joined “Crikey! It's the Irwins”, a documentary show which follows him and his mother and brother as they continue their late father's legacy of preserving wildlife and educating people about conservationism around the world. The show won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program in 2019.
Robert has continued to become more involved with wildlife conservation efforts, starting his own organization called Wildlife Warriors Worldwide in 2011. He also leads educational tours of Australia Zoo as well as speaking engagements for organizations like World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Conservation International (CI). In 2020, Robert was appointed as a Global Youth Ambassador by WWF International.
